Centering Prayer
Find Silence & Stillness With Our Des Moines Centering Prayer Group
In the midst of our busy daily lives, finding moments of silent reflection can be a challenge. Our Des Moines Centering Prayer group offers a welcoming space to slow down, quiet your mind, and open yourself to God’s presence.

What Is Centering Prayer?
Centering Prayer at Emmaus House is a sacred time of silence and stillness as we open to receiving God’s presence more deeply within us.
This contemplative form of prayer embraces silence and stillness as we deepen our connection with God and realize His presence is closer than we can imagine. Even closer than our breath.
What to Expect
Our weekly Centering Prayer experience is approximately 30 minutes. Each session includes:
An opening reading
20 minutes of Centering Prayer
Time for intentions, both personal and for those most affected in our world
It is not necessary to have any prior experience with Centering Prayer in order to join us. As always, all are welcome! There is no cost to attend, but freewill donations are welcome.
