Private retreats are a cornerstone ministry at Emmaus House. In such a noisy, busy, and fragmented world, it becomes increasingly important to have a space of quiet and peace for people of all faiths in our community. 

Emmaus House is situated right in the middle of the Des Moines metro, a physical representation of the Ignatian Spirituality hallmark of experiencing God in our everyday lives. Whether you are able to come for a half day or a whole day, making regular time for quiet reflection and prayer helps to reconnect with Emmanuel, God with us.
