Mission: Rooted in the Ignatian Tradition, Emmaus House provides spiritual companionship and a safe place to recognize and respond to the Spirit in all of life. 

 

Vision: All will go forth with a sense of belonging. 

 

Values: Creating a welcoming space where each person's story is sacred and valuable, deserving to be heard.

Emmaus House, a ministry of the Diocese of Des Moines, is open to people of all faiths. The Emmaus story in St. Luke’s Gospel is the model for the ministry. Emmaus House offers hospitality, companionship, spiritual direction and a place for quiet prayer and reflection, at the House and in other settings.
